Let’s chat about Cvt oil changes. Subaru says the Cvt is lifetime fluid which most informed folks believe is bs. It is the recipe for limited life and problems sooner than later.
The dealer wants an exorbitant amount to do this service, $400-$500. The fluid is expensive, maybe $120 but the rest is labor and disposal fees.
The procedure is somewhat involved but with equipment to lift the car level and being able to get an accurate transmission temperature, it looks doable for diy.
