2016 Legacy, 2.5l with CVT, 148K miles

Son bought this car about a month ago.

Everything fine until 4 days ago - I drove it 180 miles with no issue, but when arriving home and backing into the parking spot - the "AT Oil Heat" warning light came on. I shut the car off, unloaded, then re-started it to check out the warning light... but it was completely gone. Can't remember whether blinking or solid. Cheap OBD reader showed no codes.

Kid drove the car for a couple short drives over the last couple days with no warning lights or issues.

Yesterday he drove the car about 60 miles with no issues - but on returning home and backing into his parking spot he got all of the warning lights:

AT Oil Temp (flashing)
Brake
Traction Control
... with center console info showing "Transmission" and "Electronic Parking Brake"

When I got home a few hours later and started the car - no warning lights at all, seemed to drive normal for the couple hundred yards I drove it (afraid to go far), and my cheap OBD reader again showed no codes.

I have a bi-directional OBD reader showing up tomorrow that'll read the TCM codes - so hopefully that shows something.

Thoughts/Particular things to look out for?
Likely to be solenoid failure in valve body or something else?
Advice?
