2001 forester What to look for

Hi all, convinced myself to buy a 2001 Forester. Anything I should look
for
when shopping for one?

Coolant leakage from external head gasket and rear wheel bearings. Some
people have had a problem. My 2000 Forester @ 64,000 miles has been a great
vehicle without problems. Previous owner maintaince should be documented. Ed

A 2003?

In the past I've bought cars at least a few years old, but I decided the
improvements in 2003 were probably enough to warrant buying nearly new.
Who knows? I'm sure the older ones are fine too.
