Issue with cvt

I have a 2016 subaru car with 140k miles on it. I had a issue with transmission with high solenoid issue so I changed fluid and got a obd reader for it but it hasn't cleared yet. Do I need to change it or is there a way to test it. I can see the numbers around 14.3 volts but I think normal is 12-13. I don't want to drive it around and hope it fixes it self. Any advice would be nice.

Your post isn't very clear but if you have the common CTV solenoid issue you have to drop the valve body and replace the faulty solenoid. Changing fluid won't do anything for an electronic problem.

MrSubaru1387 posts a lot on YouTube. His advice is to replace the entire CVT valve body, solenoids and all, rather than just one or more solenoids. His experience with aftermarket solenoids has been that they don't last.

Interesting because I just watched a rant he posted about dealer wanting to replace a transmission instead of replacing just the solenoid. That he just replaces the solenoid. I guess he found out the hard way that it doesn't last. problem with replacing with an OEM valve body is eventually that same fault will show up unless they do something about the quality of that solenoid.

Check with your dealer to see if this is one of the transmissions covered by a special warranty. If it is, they do NOT replace the whole transmission, they do replace the complete valve body which isn't all that expensive IIRC. My 2014 was covered under this warranty and they replaced the valve body only and it has worked just fine since, over 100k miles since the repair.
