OEM backing plate not flat? HELP! '14-18

So ordered 2 of those "revised" rear OEM backing plates for 14-18 Forester and they are BOTH not sitting completely flat on a brand new NTN bearing flange. A hair of rock. Will update with feeler gauge data soon.

Can anyone give some moral support? I got the worst of it done had to MIG weld 1/2" nut to remove freaking hub!!
