Collision indicator

I have a 2026 Crosstrek and the collision indicator will randomly come on and slam the brakes on when there is nothing on the road. It has happened numerous times. I reported it to the dealer and they won't do anything thing because they can't reproduce it.

We had something similar happen one day in our '26 Crosstrek Hybrid. Happened two times that day of about 120 to 150 miles driving.

I wouldn't say it was "slam the brakes on", more that it lifted off the accelerator and slowed very briefly before resuming. We have our configuration menus set for the least intrusive. I recall changing the menu settings but I can't tell you the exact wording.

The next morning I washed the car. It hasn't happened since then.

Could it have been bugs, etc., on the windshield or other sensors? Don't really know.

It was only that one day and not since then. I can't say this is great, but not a constant problem.
