Okay I know enough to be dangerous and that's about it, but I got a error code sang at my second cylinder not firing. Pretty sure it's a problem with the ignition wire. Had a leaky battery that leaked acid on the harness. My question is how do I repair just that one run of the main wiring harness? Do I simply buy a new pigtail as seen on ebay and splice it upstream of the corroded wire? Will a standard connector such as butt connectors or wire nuts do the job or do I need something more Stout to make the splice? Again this is cylinder no 2 and the part of the wiring harness affected only has 2 runs. One goes to cylinder no 2 and the other to a part seated in the engine block.
