Stereo only works with headlights on - help!

My 2008 Tribeca will only play the radio/satellite/cd if the fog lights/headlights are manually turned on. If I turn them off the display screen on the stereo says " ONSTAR" across the top and "CALL" in the middle of the screen. This vehicle doesn't even have Onstar! Has anyone had this issue or offer some suggestions? We have disconnected the battery, changed fuses...nothing. Any help would be appreciated! (pic of screen attached)
