Subaru legacy gx-204jh stereo help!

Hi everyone,

I recently bought an 07 subaru legacy b4 sport.

Tried to install my own aux cable from the back of the stereo and when I pressed the aux button. No good, I've been looking online for help to no avail, I'm thinking about taking it to my local subaru garage for help.

Can anyone help me here?
