This is my first Subie forum but I do own a 2003 Impreza outback Sport. My wife also has a 2018 Impreza premium. I am joining to get some maintenance insight on these cars. I am very familiar with the Mazda Miata Platform from the perspective of a home mechanic going as far as rebuilding my engine after blowing it up. I am not looking for power in my Subarus but for reliability since they are the dailies.

Just keep the maintenance up to date and you should be just fine.
