So I left my Subaru XV 2012 model at our local Subaru dealership for regular maintenance and some replacements of bushings and adjusting of pressure pads. They did a test drive of the car a couple of times and now they tell me that my Power Steering control module is broke and needs to be replaced for around 900$. The power steering was fine before I left it now the check steering light is on.

I think they broke my car on purpose to do some extra work? Is this possible

In over 50 years of messing with cars, I have never encountered a Power Steering control module. Power steering systems are hydraulic.
Oh wait...this is Subaru! WRX models...
I would DEFINITELY get a second opinion; and NOT at the stealership!
