i have a 1996 subaru impaeza and it has a light on the inside the das
that fashas at oil temp . what dose that mean ? please help i kno
nothing about the cars all i know is about the old ones . thank you s
much if you can help :
 
Means the same as a flashing Check Engine Light except it is telling you
there is something wrong with the transmission. The dealer can run a test
that will show what is causing the transmission trouble signal.
 
Thank you . my car is a impreza . it want hurt if i dont take it right away
to the dealer will it ? I know about the chevys and ford motors and vw bugs
this is new to me . Thank you again

Yes, it might hurt. It might hurt a lot. Check your owners manual first
and take it to a mechanic second and ask here third. A check engine
light means something is wrong, so you should not act as if nothing is
wrong.

Thank you , I just got it and I know nothing about these cars , I have 2
sons that work on cars , but dont have much time for mom sense Dad passed
away thats why I got on here . that way maybe I could fix it myself . I am
going to check and see if theres a dealer around here , I hope so Thank You

check . there isn't a owners manual with it . I have had it only aweek now
I have 2 sons that work on cars but after their Dad passed away they dont
have much time for mom anymore . so I fiqured I might fix it myself . but
like I said I know nothing about these motors . so I need all the help I
can get tell I learn it . Thank you All again
 
Starfire, post this problem on another board, www.usmb.net. Good chance
you will end up replacing the transmission and depending on where you live
there is a good chance someone on that board can help you for a reasonable
price.
