My 2017 forester premium w/eyesight needs a new CARB Complient front converter, cannot find the part number.

I have checked the Subaru parts online and cannot find it even using my vin number.

If you know the number, please let me know, plus are new heat shields needed

Try this link but you may need to type in your VIN to ensure a good fit.

Note: You only need CARB compliance if you live in California, otherwise save your money.

If you live in CO then you don't need a CARB compliant converter.
CARB stands for California Air Resources Board. And you'll pay much more than you need to.

I hope you folks have not let Colorado to run amok as the People's Republic Of The Californicated has.
I once lived in Denver, many moons ago.

CARB is the rule of law in Colorado now.
My 2017 is supposedly a 50 state car that came with California emissions equipment and computer.
Many parts places say they cannot sell the catalytic converters in Colorado

I have found a part number based on my vin at a dealer: 44620AE960 retail: $4324 plus gaskets and sensors.

called two dealers to verify the part number .

the new one on the left looks nothing like my old one on the right. so new heat shields would be needed or header pipe wrap.

That's too dayum bad. Another state down the commie rathole. Maybe it can still be turned around if you all try.
