I'm trying to remove my rack and pinion on my 2010 Subaru Legacy, and the crossmember blocks any access to the steering rack. The crossmember seems to be welded to the rest of the frame. Is there any way to remove the rack and pinion without taking off the entire front frame? Please help! I included a picture of my crossmember below. In the youtube videos there seems to be a plate covering that rack and pinion that can be removed with bolts. But with mine, everything seems to be welded together. I have no clue what to do!
