Extended Warrenty

I just had a coil and a Knock Sensor fail on my 2K Forester. The
dealer, at first, tried to say that these were not covered in the
Extended Warrenty. When my wife ( who is experienced in contract
negociation) read from the brochure, the coil was indeed covered. A
call to Subaru of America resulted in the Knock Sensor being covered
too.

This was all taken care of in less than a day. They, Tom Wood in
Indianapolis, treated us well and did the work in an efficient,
professinal manor.

The key to it all is to keep any brochures for Extended Warrenty so
that it can be quoted when needed. The Warrenty is quite good, but
you have to hold them to it.
