Hi everyone,
I just bought a 2016 Forester Limited, 77K miles. Its a reconstructed title with no chassis damage but just a light accident in the front. My brother is a mechanic so he fixed everything and its running very smoothly. I read to change the CVT transmission oil, so I took it to Subaru to get that done along with a few other minor items.
Since its a reconstructed title, Subaru's warranty does not apply. I'm thinking about getting an extended warranty only because I've heard the CVT's sometimes can have issues and they are very costly to pay out of pocket. I mostly drive highways and when I do, its usually under 5K a year.
Would love to hear thoughts on if the extended warranty is worth it given everyons experience with this transmission.
Thanks!
