Driver side view mirror moving when door opens

2024 legacy. I had the auto dimming mirrors with approach lights installed today at my dealer. The issue I am having now is that when I open the locked driver's door the mirror moves outward. It continues moving until it reaches is maximum outward angle and continues moving until it makes 3 giant noisy clicks because it has reached the limit of it's movement. I have disabled the auto folding of the mirror housing as well. The mirror does not move on the passenger side which is the way it should be. I'm pretty sure the glass position should remain static until it is manually changed or the car recognizes a different driver profile. Had anyone experienced anything like this. This only started after the change of mirrors today. Thanks for your response.
