Hey all, my dad just bought a 2015 impreza cvt base with ~175k and it was experiencing overheating and code p0971 - AWD solenoid (3.5Ohms,) I went and got that solenoid but had to get it off ebay because the Dorman solenoid meant for p0974 is measured at 10-13.5Ohms. I also did a fluid change and made sure to top off at temp on level ground. I did not however do a relearn because I dont have the scan tool to do it. The code has gone away but it still seems to have torque bind and wheel hop in the rear. I'm thinking the solenoid I installed is no good but I don't really want to get another off ebay. I suspect I know the answer but could I use the Dorman solenoid in place of a proper AWD solenoid? If there's another reason the torque bind and wheel hop might be happening, please do let me know. Also if theres a way to do a blind relearn I'd love to know. Sorry for all the questions, searching the web these days is really hard lol 🥲
