2026 Outback Reverse Light Upgrade

Hello. Had my 26 for 5 months now and really enjoying it. Just completed a 4000 KM trip and no complaints. One thing I find id the reverse lights are not adequate. I had upgraded my Forester to LEDs and found them far superior to stock. I live in the country and have a long dark lade so appreciate good visibility. I see there are no panels for access so looks like entire door protector panel has to be removed. Anyone pulled theirs off and changed the lights?

Thanks, good video but the back up lights aren't part of the tail light assy. Will probably end up doing the turn signals but want to do the backup first

Thanks, I'll be sure to make a post once I get it done. Have to investigate the light assy. I found the light in the tailgate is actually a circuit board with LEDs attached so can't just stick new bulbs in it. Hopefully these aren't the same.

Thank you for the R&R video. I, also, just purchased a 2026 Outback and wish to upgrade my reverse lites. However, here in the US (California), the bulbs you show aren’t available on Sealight’s website. Where did you buy them from? Thank in advance.

A (now sadly departed) Jeep TJ had too dim backup lights. I wired a leftover foglight on the back bumper, and it was a huge improvement.
So I'll be happy to see how this thread comes out...my Outback could use more light as well.
