Bleeding the heater Core

A

Aussie Suby

What is the best and most sucessful way to bleed the coolant from the
heater core in my 1995 Subaru Legacy 2.0l wagon 4x4. I have air
bubbling around in it and I want to make sure that it's not an air lock
before I start considering what else the bubbling noise could be from.
A friend suggested that it could be air coming in from the water pump
seal and a kind person on this forum suggested that it could be a head
gasket blown and exhaust gases bubbling in through the system. This is
why I want to be sure it's not coming from the heater core.
Thanks Andrew

I just make sure that the radiator outlet (cap port) is higher than
the heater core. I then run the engine at 2000 rpm for 5 minutes after
the thermostat is full open.as Subaru suggests. Lower or level car and
top up radiator. Make sure the radiator cap rubber and seat are clean
and smooth. ed
