Hello everyone. Got my 22 outback in May. I was wondering if anyone has the engine block heater and wondering when you start using it. With the sub zero coming here in NEPA should I just leave it plugged in all the time now. Thank in advance.

In this neck of the woods, we use oil pan heaters.
It is the viscosity and compression of the oil that "slows engine rotation".
Warmed oil in the pan will allow the oil to flow much faster than "thick Molasses".
Follow the instructions and fitment size for the oil pan dimensions.
Block heaters heat the coolant, not the oil.
Use a timer for anything like a block heater or oil pan heater, 3 to 4 hours is all that's needed.
