My 2019 Outback had to have the battery replaced about 1 week ago.
Also needed hatchback to be repaired due to it not latching properly.

Car 3 years old should not need battery replacement yet. 27,000 miles.

Is there and reimbursement for my expense on the battery???

Likely not because the rear gate needed repairs. With the gate not working properly, the battery may have depleted itself. With the gate latch not operating, it could have cause a parasitic draw.
The original could have been charged and tested with a "carbon pile" and tested to see if it will hold a charge.
