21 Crosstrek audio and Uber issues

I'm having issues with SOMETIMES not being able to hear the audio instructions from my Uber app while also playing the radio. If I switch to "Media" I can hear the Uber app but not the radio. If I switch to "Radio" I can hear the radio but not the Uber app. I need to be able to hear the Uber app's instructions while also playing the radio. Sometimes I think I have it figured out and then it stops working. I can unplug the phone from the car's power and also disconnect the Bluetooth and then hear the Uber app from my phone while playing the radio from the car's system but the phone doesn't stay charged long enough.

Anyone else have any similar problems and/or solutions?
