2016 Forester Radio/MFD Problem

Had a local nationally franchised facility (that specializes in rustproofing) add a Viper remote start to my Wife's 16 Forester 2.5i premium yesterday. Now the MFD/center display tries to load, but gets 99% of the way and stops. The screen goes blank, and it tries it all over again. The rear camera display works still. I took it into the local Subaru dealer for the brake switch recall, but they said it was $80 just to diagnose the MFD problem. As it attempts to boot up, I do hear the faint sound of a fan in the background. Anyone get this before and what was the solution?

Started working 2days later all by itself.
