2013 Subaru Legacy Oil Usage Problem

My wife's 2013 Subaru Legacy with 42000 miles uses a quart of oil every 5000 miles. Is this normal for the 2.5L engines? I use synthetic 0W20.

Did you find out what the problem was with your wife’s 2013 Subaru leaking oil? Mine is doing the same with 95,000 miles and I have used synthetic oil in it, had it changed regularly. There was a lawsuit with Subaru and an owner. People were having the short block replaced. Trying to figure out what to do. Subaru won’t stand behind mine. Love the car and wanted to buy another one when the time comes but will not if they don’t stand behind their product.
