My son's 02 Subaru outback it started slipping while going 45, he pulled over. Tried going and it was making a clunking sound. He pulled over to the side of the road. When I got there we tried to drive it, it moved a few hundred feet and the transmission locked up and at oil temp light was flashing. All fluids are at normal levels. I let it sit 10 minutes and it moved 2 feet then locked up.
New.to Subarus, but I've worked extensively on Ford's and VWs. Are we looking at the torque converter or possibly transmission?
