1998 subaru impreza outback sport transmissions

Hi I'm new here just bought a used 98 impreza outback sport with an auto transmission, I'm wondering if it came in a manual, and what the code number for the manual trans is. I really want to manual swap it at some point, but I can't find anything on the manual trans even though I know it had one as an option.
