Hi All,
I have a 2011 impreza obs. Center diff took a dump on me so i replaced it. Reassembling the transmission and the output shaft binds up and wont turn whenever I torque the end cap. I followed the procedure to a t but when I measure for W the transfer driven shaft wobbles slightly sending my measurements all over the place.
I figured the thrust washer on the transfer driven gear would be fine because it was the diff side I messed with, oddly the diff side didn't change at all. One of the bearings on the transfer driven shaft was kind of loose , so i replaced them both. It's much tighter now, but still giving me a headache. I'm beating my head against a wall here, can anyone help?
I'm honestly considering buying every thrust washer in the selection list and going down one size at a time until it torques without binding, but I don't feel like thats a good idea either
