Thrown rod at 18k

My 2023 cross trek sport has 18k miles. I had an oil change at 5.5k then at 10.5 k then at 18.2k threw a rod and now Subaru won’t cover it on the warranty. Any suggestions? How much is a new engine or can it be rebuilt. Thank you.

They said the interval at 10,500 and 18,000 is too long on the oil change.

Were you using full synthetic oil? Like Mobil One or equivalent? If yes, can you produce an oil change invoice showing such? What does your service manual show for oil change intervals using full synthetic oils?

Yes full synthetic oil. My first oil change at 5000 I was on a road trip in Montana. Paid cash at a gas station but don’t know what town it was even in. I have the other two that I sent Dubaru.
