Are people warming up to the new styling on the front end? I was all set to
buy a new WRX STI until I saw the front end up close and the dealer said he
didn't have any models left with the old style front. I ended up going down
the street and buying a new EVO VIII. I like the EVO except for the vent in
the hood, which lets rain drip on to the engine. Funny, in some of the
magazine photos I didn't mind the front styling on the WRX, but up close it
looks strange.

look at this recent thread;

if that doesn't work, search for a recent thread called New Impreza -
what are your opinions

fwiw - I like mine, but I'm less concerned about the appearance than
most folks I guess. I found it better looking in person than in photos -
go figure. here's some photos;

Sounds like you're enjoying your EVO!

Well I really like the interior styling, at the very least. I don't mind the
front anymore, but I still do prefer a lot of things about my '04 STi.
Sure, there're some little things I'd like to fix up (drive shaft for one)
but the rougher edges of the '04 really appeal to me--including the front
end.
