Had water-in-fuel warning on dash. Removed diesel fuel filter and removed 1/2 cup dirty water. Replaced filter empty assuming fuel would pump up. Would not start. Manual primed 200+ times. Still would not start. Removed fuel line from tank, switched on ignition, no fuel coming from tank. Question: Is it supposed to pump up at this stage.
Removed both in-tank fuel pumps. Blew line back from filter - all clear. Both tanks clean. Some gunk on fuel pick-up in LHS tank (behind passenger in Australia). Cleaned and replaced all. Turned on ignition, fuel pump runs 15 secs then stops. (Up to pressure?) Should this pump up to the fuel filter?
