Add factory backup camera to 2012 Impreza hatch back

I have a 2.0L 2012 Subaru Impreza 4 door hatchback. I am changing the factory stereo to an aftermarket head unit that supports a back up camera. I know some models came with a factor camera installed on the hatch. Has anyone tried to add the factory camera on the hatch and use that with an aftermarket head unit. If so what parts did you need, and what problems should I expect? Or should I just got with aftermarket camera. I'd like to keep it stock, as most aftermarket cameras are a pain to mount and usually break off or get smashed. Thanks for your help.
