08 Forester xll..after replacing ATF and filter, having shifting issues. Thinking after market filter is too constrictive. Gonna get OEM filter and go

After replacing ATF and screw on filter I’m having issues with shifting. After SOME research, I m gonna replace after market filter ( may be restricting fluid) it’s an 08 forester xll by the way . So.. with an OEM filter and ATF-HP , should my issues go away ? Thanks in advance
