I am mid swing on an EJ 253 engine swap in my 2006 Subaru Forester.
My new engine has a different PCV valve fitting.
The old engine has a fitting that the PCV valve screws into with a hose barb midway down the fitting. The hose that attaches to it goes up through a sensor that clips onto the air box.
The new engine has only a straight shaft PCV valve fitting with no hose barb.
I cannot figure out how to remove the old fitting as the hose barb sticks out and makes it unable to spin around in a full 360°.
Does anyone have any advice on how I can remove it or if I need to?
