Timing belt modification

I am a 2000 forester owner, my original 2.5 engine blew up,ordered a Japanese 2.0 sohc off ebay. This engine runs great, I want to replace the timing belt & components, I understand that that a kit for ej25 sohc will work but needs modification.Does anyone know what the modification consists of ?
