Rear hatch Light Switch

Hi. I have a 2021 Crosstrek and am told that there is a unit that can be used to turn the Hatch light off when the hatch is open. Sometimes, I like to keep the hatch open when parked. Does anyone know about this? Thank you in advance

I'm sure if you look around you'll find a push type switch as commonly used on car doors. Just stick a piece of gum on it in the interim until you can rig up a series wired rocker or toggle switch somewhere convenient.

There is no switch? I've never seen a car without a interior light switch.

There’s a switch on the left wall of the cargo compartment in the Crosstrek that allows you to keep the rear light either always on always off or to turn on when you open the hatch. Unless you’re referring to a different light, that switch should satisfy your problem.
