Has anyone used the blank spot beside the parking lever for a switch?
I'm curious on what it might be used for in the future, and I'm thinking of putting in a momentary switch to activate the garage door opener once I figure out what switch will fit. // Yes I still have the plastic on, just picked it up today :)

Maybe for engine off when stopped as I had it in other cars someday or It could also be a place holder for electronic parking brake in the future.

Are you trying to say a kill switch to prevent theft? Good idea! Unless my eyes deceive me, he already has an electric parking brake.

I meant the so-called gas saving switch. A lot of cars now shut off the engine to “save” gas and lessen pollution at stop lights or train tracks. But especially at red lights that switch overrides so the engine stays on.

I guess that's why autostopeliminator is so popular. The only thing autostop works well for is keeping your car in the shop and the car battery makers happy. That one is definitely ont a good idea.
