Subaru will not allow Starlink to be activated in the used '22 Crosstrek I recently purchased in NH with a Subaru-branded 7 year extended service warranty contract, wherein only Subaru dealers will work on my car. They refuse to allow independent shops to access Starlink telematics as required by the MA law. This means one of the safety features Subaru so vociferously claims for their vehicles cannot be used in MA. Not only compromising safety, this has reduced the value of my car. This effects ALL SUBARUS '22 AND NEWER REGISTERED IN MA.
Call your Subaru dealer and write to Subaru of America to reverse this unreasonable decision to deprive you of safety functionality and loss of resale value. Think about joining me in a class-action lawsuit to resolve this.

I’m so upset with Subaru I purchased a new one in 2023. I will not be buying another one. Because they refuse to allow Starlink in Massachusetts

normally, I would agree with you but myself and a lot of other people have done extensive research on this. The bottom line is it is SUBARU SUBARU has a problem with Massachusetts for some reason.
However, thank you for your input

I think it should be obvious that the problem is most iikly in your state capital as it does not exist in 49 other states. I live in California, believe me when I say I can regonise problems with state government when I see them. Wanna swap crappy state governments? LOL

CA and NY used to be the best places in the country...now I wouldn't step foot in either.

MA has a right to service law. Dealers and manufacturers are not suppose to withhold info such as repair update bulletins etc check with Ma govt not the dealer.
