*Prefacing this to acknowledge that I'm very new to any kind of car modding and have limited knowledge about car parts and such*
Hi! I drive a 2021 Forester Sport and I'm looking to get it lifted. Not a crazy amount, but enough to improve drivability for occasional off-roading and aesthetic of the car. I was looking at getting these Eibach springs, but I was talking to one of my car friends and he said I should replace my shocks while getting the springs installed.
Eibach doesn't have shocks (at least when entering my car info in the search), so I was looking around elsewhere (like RalliTek) for lift kits that include shocks and springs, but then my other friends (Tacoma guys) told me I may need spacers, but weren't sure for my car. The Eibach springs don't come with them and one of my friends noted that Eibach says it's not necessary for the lift install.
Basically, I'm getting confused with what parts I need for a "simple" lift. I'm not looking to increase my wheel size, just want it a little higher (up to 2 inches) with a little more wheel clearance. No towing either. I've looked at different lift kits, but the parts sometimes include spacers or the subframe drop kit/adjustable arms like the Bilstein kit.
So basically, what do I need to get a lift on my car? I appreciate any advice, clarifications, and recommendations!
