noise on left turns

2016 crosstrek that under light acceleration left turns only makes a faint clicking noise. doesnt sound like cv shaft and is intermittent. doesnt happen when wheel is turned all the way to the stop. both axles appear ok. mostly happens when making a left turn from a stop sign
