Alternator noise while ignition on but not running.

Hi,
When I turn on the ignition on my Liberty 2.5i (but don't start car) the alternator emits a continuous high pitched hum.
Recently had a blown headlamp but no other troubles.

Please ignore. On closer inspection the noise is coming from intake area and I believe it is normal.
