No brake pedal

have a 96 outback New rear brakes and master cylinder relatively new brakes on front. pedal will pump up and hold. After released there is no pedal The only thing I replaced is the master cylinder. any ideas.

Since your master cylinder is newly installed, check if there's any fluid leak.
