This might be too niche a topic for this forum but I've been doing some research about the ej253's for the 2005 impreza outback sports. Mine is knocking and obviously on the way out and I've never pulled an engine before. As always youtube can teach me how, but I'm more worried about getting the right motor.
Should I be looking for ej253's made 2005 and older due to the AVLS? Saw one person call the 2005's a "unicorn block" which frankly wasnt very encouraging haha. Thanks in advance
