I have a 2014 3.6R Outback that I have stored every winter. I have used a battery tender /or started it (run for 20 min) every 2 weeks. It seems the battery gets weak quite quickly. Does anyone have any advice if I should do something differently, or maybe disconnect the battery while it is stored? For information, the storage location is indoors and heated to 55 degrees, so it's not a low temp. situation. Thank you.

Never run them for short trips or short time. Just adds moisture to oil...and engine. You're efforts are trying to make rust and corrosion.

Keep battery on smart charger and leave it be until you're going to use it.
