Left brake light not on

So i just recently installed a F1 style 3rd brake light on my 2013 impreza and when the lights are turned on the light is not on and when i press the brake pedal the brake light comes on. I checked the wiring and it all looks to be good. There is no wires touching. Any help would be great! Thank you
