Good Subaru shop in Colorado?

M

Mike Deskevich

If there's anyone out there in the Boulder/Longmont area of Colorado
that knows a good subaru shop, I'd love to know about it. I moved out
here not too long ago and I need to take my Subaru in for some 40,000
mile maintenance and want to avoid the dealers if i can. The only
good independant mechanics in the area that I know only work on Saabs.

Thanks!
Mike

I used to live in Golden, Colorado and there is a Subaru shop, I believe
on
Hwy 6. This guy does only Subarus
and is a real pro. Check him out.

Buddy @ Mobile Mechanics, (303) 279-9433, 15810 W Colfax Ave., right down
the street from Elway Subaru.

Buddy, he's, without question, the absolute best! Arrived in Golden after a
six week, 6k mi roadtrip and Soo needed some TLC. Bad. Blown front strut,
brake checkup, general engine massage, etc. Smellway wanted $450 for the
front struts alone! I found Buddy purely by accident coming out of the
sushi place across the street (great for lunch if you get work done BTW).

Buddy did the front struts, checked the brakes on all four corners, and gave
the engine a full once-over. Total bill: $318!!!!!!

I went back later for a pre-winter check-up/coolant, etc and he remembered
me, Soo, and the work he had done. He asked my mileage, if the coolant was
low or funny looking, and told me to come back next year!! As I walked out,
"hey, check your air filter, it's been so dusty out here. I've been
replacing a lot of 'em."

I've been this guys best advert ever since. I have sent 5 Soobies his way
and everyone was more than pleased.

One warning. The guy books work on a doctor's schedule. Packed solid! I
had to book ten days out.

I also recommend him.
