Hi. I have a 93 subaru loyale wagon with a 1.8l v4 auto. I was driving up a steep hill and the engine started piniging loudly. I saw black smoke in the rearview which turned to blue/white. So much that I couldn't see the car behind me. About a mile later it died and will not start. It cranks over fine and wants to start, but won't. The oil level is fine with no indication of water. There is oil in the air filter housing. There is/was no rapping nor any indication of oil leak currently. What could be wrong?
