Car alarm going off

I have a 2019 Crosstrek. A recent happening: As I touch the driver's door handle to unlock the car, having the key fob with me, instead of the door clicking and opening, the door opens and the car alarm goes off. It does not happen with the passenger door, but only with the driver's side front door. Anyone else had this happen?

Door wiring? Door latch switch?
Have a shop measure the Open / Close circuit with a scan tool.
