Add map light to 98 OBS?

Hi - Has anyone come up with a good way to add some kind of map light
to an OBS (98) that doesn't have one? Not a lighter plug in - but one
up on the roof as in more recent cars.

Tried one of those sylvania dot-its but can't get it to stick to the
velour material on the roof.
