2019 Ascent Proximity Lock Issue

Hello! I’ve got a funky issue with the driver’s side door on my Ascent. When placing my hand behind the handle to auto-unlock, instead of the usual beep/unlock, it cycles itself multiple times - continuously trying to unlock itself. It’s quite annoying, but more so, I feel like it will take a toll on the lock mechanism rather quickly. Please see attached video link. Any clues to why this would happen… or what the repair solution may be? Thanks, all.
FYI - Both FOBs behave the same and have new batteries.
